Holy Spirit Prayers

Come Holy Spirit, come by means of the powerful intercession of the Immaculate Heart of Mary your well beloved spouse.

O Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me. Tell me what I should do; give me Your orders. I promise to submit myself to all that You desire of me and to accept all that You permit to happen to me. Let me only know Your Will. Amen.

~Cardinal Mercier

Come Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit, come into my heart; draw it to Thee by Thy power, O my God, and grant me charity with filial fear. Preserve me, O ineffable Love, from every evil thought; warm me, inflame me with Thy dear love, and every pain will seem light to me. My Father, my sweet Lord, help me in all my actions.

Jesus, love, Jesus, love, St. Catherine of Siena.

Prayer of Consecration to the Holy Spirit

O Holy Ghost, divine Spirit of light and love, I consecrate to Thee my intellect, my heart, my will and my whole being for time and for eternity.

May my intellect be ever docile to Thy heavenly inspirations and to the teaching of the Holy Catholic Church of which Thou art the infallible Guide. May my heart be ever inflamed with the love of God and my neighbour; may my will be ever in conformity with the divine will, and may my whole life be a faithful imitation of the life and virtues of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, to whom, with the Father and thee, Holy Spirit, be honour and glory for ever. Amen.
(Indulgence of 300 days once a day, applicable to the souls in Purgatory -- Pius X. This consecration may be renewed by repeating only the first paragraph of the form.)

May

Where did the time go? Wasn't it just Christmas?  Here we are at the beginning of May... Mother's Day! Gosh!

See Fr. Mark Kirby's post...

And a reminder...The Year of the Priest is almost finished. Let us promise to continue to pray for all priests, all Bishops, the hierarchy, and most especially for our Holy Father Pope Benedict XVII.

We have an aweful lot of prayer work to do, let us not be overwhelmed or afraid; let us move forward with our hope and trust IN HIM!

In this month of May let us learn to lovingly and joyfully accept HIS Will for our lives asking for much grace!

Happy Mother's Day!

THE BEAUTY OF MOTHERHOOD

Hail Holy Queen

Hail, holy Queen, Mother of Mercy! Our life, our sweetness, and our hope!

To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve, to thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley, of tears.

Turn, then, most gracious advocate,thine eyes of mercy toward us; and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb Jesus;
O clement, O loving, O sweet virgin Mary.

Pray for us, O holy Mother of God that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

"Do not let anything afflict you, and do not be afraid of any illness, or accident, or pain. Am I not here who am your Mother? Are you not under my shadow and protection? Do you need anything else?"

A TREATISE OF DIVINE PROVIDENCE

How the desire of this soul grew when God showed her the neediness of the world.

This desire was great and continuous, but grew much more, when the First Truth showed her the neediness of the world, and in what a tempest of offense against God it lay. And she had understood this the better from a letter, which she had received from the spiritual Father of her soul, in which he explained to her the penalties and intolerable dolor caused by offenses against God, and the loss of souls, and the persecutions of Holy Church.
