St. John Bosco pray for us!
Our Lady Help of Christians PRAY FOR US!
Fr. Malloy, I know where some people are going this weekend...The SF Gay Pride Parade 2007(general parade info.) is scheduled for this weekend and the list of participants (PARADE LINE-UP LIST-***as of today MHR is only CATHOLIC PARISH/CHURCH LISTED) can be found all over the internet.
Let's start here:
Most Holy Redeemer (SF Archdiocese):

Bulletin for June 17, 2007: FULLY participating in the SF Gay Pride Parade 2007 events-

Thurs. June 21st -"Young Adult Group (Pride Parade Dance Rehearsal) in Ellard Hall"

Sat. June 23 "Pride Weekend. MHR AIDS Support Group Beverage Booth near the Main Stage in Civic Center.10 am Gardening in the Garden 12:30 pm Young Adult Group (Parade Signs/Posters Making) in Ellard Hall"

Sunday (Solemnity of The Birth of St. John the Baptist) - June 24 "Pride Weekend. After the 10 am Mass - MHR Pride Parade Contingent Send Off. No Sunday Coffee Hour."

"More Pride Beverage Booth Volunteers Are Needed to help staff our ASG Beverage Booth next Saturday, June 23 in Civic Center. This is a great fundraising opportunity for us. We have a (Look at the "scandalous line-up of entertainment displayed nearby") super location next to the Main Stage and need lots of volunteers to be successful. Shifts are only two hours and will not conflict with the Parade on Sunday. Please sign-up in Ellard Hall after the 10 am Mass on Sunday, or give us a call at 415-863-1581."

They are not only participating but they have a booth located in a prominent and well seen location FOR ALL TO SEE! AND NOW THAT IT WILL BE 'BROADCAST' via the internet - "An estimated 850 million people around the world with Internet access will be able to watch the parade live for the first time. Webcasts are on Clear Channel's LGBT network at http://www.shakeradio.com/ and on KRON 4 at http://www.kron4.com/. This year Pride broadened its exposure with a new two-hour live broadcast on Comcast's digital cable channel 99. Individuals without access to digital cable will be able to view an edited version of the parade on Pride Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. on KRON 4."

GOD WILL SEE TOO!

I pray that those who will read this post will contact the Archdiocese and those in authority-requesting that the Archdiocese ask all participating parishes to remove their PARISH/"CATHOLIC" banners from this event.

One more thing...

How awesome is IT that an 85 yr. old priest can alert and keep his sheep from being devoured by wolves?

Thank & GOD BLESS you Fr. John Malloy - OUR SHEPHERD!

And may Our Lady Help of Christians protect and keep you always Fr. Malloy!
