More MHR - Gay Pride Parade 2008

“A 100 percent chance we will not be in the parade”

“It is really just our response to… well, we’re tired of the hate mail,” he said. “The parishioners see their participation in the parade as an evangelical outreach, but they don’t enjoy being called nasty names either. This wasn’t because of any request from the archdiocese.” - Fr. Meriwether

Commentary: Archbishop Niederauer & MHR

Archbishop Niederauer blaming filmers and bloggers
"The problem is, the Archbishop and priest of the diocese aren’t focusing their heat on MHR, they’re taking shots at the people who caught the incident on video and who are writing about it on the internet."

AGAIN, DITTO!

MHR-San Francisco Archbishop giving Communion to 'nuns' overblown

Jesuit Father Donal Godfrey, one of the Mass concelebrants, said the way the two men were dressed was "disrespectful to religious sisters," but he said he felt "it probably wasn't their intention (to offend.) They knelt in all the right places. They stood in all the right places. Except for the way they were dressed, they weren't doing anything disrespectful."

"I thought it was disrespectful for somebody to go to another church with the intention of filming it," he added, "without asking the pastor permission to do that and, second, with the intention of using that in a hostile way, without having a conversation first with the pastor. On the face of it, they were out to get the archbishop."

Asked about reaction he had received, Archbishop Niederauer expressed concern about the impact of Web logs, or blogs.

"The blogosphere is a kind of dangerous, endless recess in a global schoolyard," he said, "where the bullies with the biggest bullhorns can shout whatever they want."

Get your bullhorns ready!!

MHR Removes from online Bulletin - "Delta's" "Thank you Note" & MHR in the News-FINALLY!

The "Thank You Note" was prominently over the 'thank you blurb' to the Young Adult Group for assisting in the Castro Street Fair. It now appears that the 'October Count' has replaced the 'The Thank Note'....but that's not enough folks imho! Something more than that is going to have to happen!

SF-MHR News (finally, the local media is 'on' the situation):

SF Archbishop Uproar: Communion To Fake, Gay Nuns

Angry Emails Target SF Catholic Archdiocese

Bill O'Reilly, SF Archbishop George Niederauer and The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Sacrilege

And a huge 'Thank You' and prayers to and for Fr. Anthony Mary MFVA for his consoling and teaching in his homily this a.m. on how to make reparation to HIS MOST SACRED HEART on this feast day of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque.

MHR Sunday Bulletin - SPI's -"DELTA" "Thank You Note"

To All the Folks at Most Holy Redeemer,
Just a quick note to recognize the
wonderful Mass (Oh, there they are! Look to the far left under the choir loft corner)yesterday at your Church to welcome Archbishop Niederauer. Your entire congregation was so welcoming and it was great to be able to participate in the Mass. The service was absolutely beautiful and I know that I personally walked away very inspired by both the Archbishop’s message and the angelic voices of your choir ringing in my ears! Amazing!

Afterwards, one of the parishioners offered us a blue “MHRC: An Inclusive Catholic Church” pin that I was proud to wear through the Castro Fair. You are a wonderfully inclusive Church!
Best Regards,Delta (Goodhand)

And this:

Street Fair (More info on 'Folsom fair')
We would like to thank the Young Adult Group for staffing the parish information booth at the Castro Street fair. Thank you also to the Support Group for facilitating the parish’s presence in this neighborhood celebration.

This is over the edge...that they (the parish) would publish this in their bulletin...come on... OBSTINATE! This also blows apart Bill O'Reilly's argument...doesn't it!? THEY WERE WELCOMED! Mr. O'Reilly there's a bigger problem in SF...and it's not just about the politicians and media!

THE GATES OF HELL WILL NOT PREVAIL!

Again, Prayers of Reparation!

Prayer of Reparation
O Most Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, I adore thee profoundly. I offer thee the most precious Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ, present in all the tabernacles of the world, in reparation for the outrages, sacrileges and indifferences by which He is offended. By the infinite merits of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, I beg of thee the conversion of poor sinners.

REMEMBER THAT THIS IS WHAT HAPPENED! THEY WERE WELCOMED!

Say a PRAYER....a quick one...

Welcome to MHR, Archbishop Niederauer!

Please join us in welcoming our archbishop, George H. Niederauer, the Archbishop of San Francisco, to Most Holy Redeemer Church. Archbishop Niederauer will be the presider and homilist at the 10:00 AM Mass on Sunday, October 7, 2007, in the parish church. A welcome reception will follow immediately after in Ellard Hall.

Gays and Grays, Book Signing On September 30, following the 10:00AM Mass, we will have a signing party for Fr. Donal Godfrey to celebrate Lexington Books' publishing of Gays and Grays: The Story of the Gay Community at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish. A 15% on line discount is still being
offered at lexingtonbooks.com, reducing the price substantially. By kind permission of the Irish provincial, Fr John Dardis, SJ, Fr. Godfrey is able to donate his proceeds from the sales of this book to our MHR AIDS Support Group and Wednesday Suppers.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and in the hour of our death. Amen.

Btw...'veil tip' to the Curt Jester for Fr. Malloy's blog !

Did you see all the children in this video?

LORD HAVE MERCY!
St. John Bosco pray for us!
Our Lady Help of Christians PRAY FOR US!
Fr. Malloy, I know where some people are going this weekend...The SF Gay Pride Parade 2007(general parade info.) is scheduled for this weekend and the list of participants (PARADE LINE-UP LIST-***as of today MHR is only CATHOLIC PARISH/CHURCH LISTED) can be found all over the internet.
Let's start here:
Most Holy Redeemer (SF Archdiocese):

"More Pride Beverage Booth Volunteers Are Needed to help staff our ASG Beverage Booth next Saturday, June 23 in Civic Center. This is a great fundraising opportunity for us. We have a (Look at the "scandalous line-up of entertainment displayed nearby") super location next to the Main Stage and need lots of volunteers to be successful. Shifts are only two hours and will not conflict with the Parade on Sunday. Please sign-up in Ellard Hall after the 10 am Mass on Sunday, or give us a call at 415-863-1581."

They are not only participating but they have a booth located in a prominent and well seen location FOR ALL TO SEE! AND NOW THAT IT WILL BE 'BROADCAST' via the internet - "An estimated 850 million people around the world with Internet access will be able to watch the parade live for the first time. Webcasts are on Clear Channel's LGBT network at http://www.shakeradio.com/ and on KRON 4 at http://www.kron4.com/. This year Pride broadened its exposure with a new two-hour live broadcast on Comcast's digital cable channel 99. Individuals without access to digital cable will be able to view an edited version of the parade on Pride Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. on KRON 4."

GOD WILL SEE TOO!

I pray that those who will read this post will contact the Archdiocese and those in authority-requesting that the Archdiocese ask all participating parishes to remove their PARISH/"CATHOLIC" banners from this event.

One more thing...

How awesome is IT that an 85 yr. old priest can alert and keep his sheep from being devoured by wolves?

Thank & GOD BLESS you Fr. John Malloy - OUR SHEPHERD!

And may Our Lady Help of Christians protect and keep you always Fr. Malloy!
