Cathedral of Christ the Light

Cathedral in Oakland diocese..have you seen the pictures? The last rendering looks pretty new age to me. (scroll down)

Oh yeah, remember some of these pictures?

And the fact that they use this quote from Robert Lewis Stevenson on their home page -"Mankind was never so happily inspired as when it made a cathedral."

It should read: "I never weary of great churches. It is my favourite kind of mountain scenery. Mankind was never so happily inspired as when it made a cathedral."

They left off the real meat of this quote! Are you inspired or is beauty in the eyes of the beholder? (Imho) The interior is devoid of all spirituality! It does not inspire. It neither draws my heart to worship GOD nor my thoughts to heaven. Why do people insist on taking open space and creating it in such a devoid manner? Why?
