Metropolitan Organizing Strategy Enabling Strength (MOSES) is a congregation-centered, interfaith and interracial, interdenominational, urban and suburban community organization. MOSES officially incorporated in 1997. Currently MOSES has a membership of 50+ congregations and institutions across Southeast Michigan. In 2003, MOSES joined with Ezekiel of Saginaw, Michigan and ISAAC of Kalamazoo to develop a statewide network called Michigan Interfaith Voice (MI*Voice) to impact state policy on issues that are in common to our local communities. MOSES is a vehicle by which congregations of faith come together to develop a network of relationships, to identify common interests, and to exercise power on behalf of those interests. Through MOSES we assert our religious principles in the public realm to improve the quality of life in our communities and to create a more just and human society.
