There is more to these Islamist extremists than what meets the eye.
Some ( not all ) so-called "Islamic" groups may merely be front organizations for socialism - similar to the way in which Liberation Theology tricks Marxism out in "Christian" wrappings and peddles it through its own front organizations as "social justice."
One of Socialism's objectives is the destruction of authentic Christianity - with a special emphasis on the Roman Catholic Church.
In fact there are plenty of examples of left wing organisation emerging from among people with Islamic beliefs. Malcolm X was a major influence on the leaders of the revolutionary Black Panther Party in the 1960s, while leaders of the Mujahadeen in Iran argued for a fusion of Marxism and Islam in their guerrilla struggle against the Shah. At the same time, the ruling class in Islamic countries has frequently experimented with left rhetoric to boost its popular appeal, such as the ‘Islamic socialism’ proclaimed by the leaders of the military coup in Afghanistan in 1973 or by Zulfikar Bhutto during his nationalisation programme in Pakistan in the mid-1970s.....read more....
Islamic Socialism is a term used by many Muslim leaders to reconcile the need for more spirituality in traditional Socialism. Many Islamic scholars consider Socialism to be inherently atheist and denounce many government programs inspired by Socialism as a violation of Islamic Law or teachings. Islamic socialists argue that the principles of socialism, specifically that of land redistribution, are congruent with the laws of the Quran. Though the roots of Islamic socialism lie in pre-soviet Russia, the first large scale implementation of the doctrine occurred in Pakistan under the rule of the PPP and Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Today, the PPP, under the guidance of Asif Ali Zardari, still advocates a system based on Islamic socialism. Another strong proponent of Islamic socialism is Moammar Gadhafi, who declared Libya an Islamic socialist state in 1969 and outlined his principles in the Green Book.
