Sacred Heart of Jesus

Fr. Z's : INDULGENCE ALERT – Feast of the Sacred Heart

Fr. Mark Kirby's: This One Thing Does Love Ask

Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus

Anima Christi
Soul of Christ, sanctify me.
Body of Christ, save me.
Blood of Christ, inebriate me.
Water from the side of Christ, wash me.
Passion of Christ, strengthen me.
O good Jesus, hear me.
Within Thy wounds hide me.
Separated from Thee let me never be. ("Permit me not to be separated from Thee")
From the malicious enemy defend me. ("From the malignant enemy defend me")
In the hour of my death call me.
And bid me come unto Thee
That I may praise Thee with Thy saints ("That with thy Saints I may praise Thee")
Forever and ever.
Amen.

May His Most Precious Blood Pour Down on Us and on the Whole World!

The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Have Mercy on Us and the Whole World!

Jesus Meek and Humble of Heart Make Thine Like Unto Yours!

The Sacred Heart of Jesus & Conclusion of the Year For Priests

Consecration Prayer - To the Sacred Heart of Jesus

I give myself and consecrate to the Sacred Heart of our Lord Jesus Christ, my person and my life, my actions, pains and sufferings, so that I may be unwilling to make use of any part of my being other than to honor, love and glorify the Sacred Heart.

This is my unchanging purpose, namely, to be all His, and to do all things for the love of Him, at the same time renouncing with all my heart whatever is displeasing to Him.

I therefore take You,O Sacred Heart, to be the only object of my love, the guardian of my life, my assurance of salvation, the remedy of my weakness and inconstancy, the atonement for all the faults of my life and my sure refuge at the hour of death.

Be then, O Heart of goodness, my justification before God the Father, and turn away from me the strokes of his righteous anger.

O Heart of love, I put all my confidence in You, for I fear everything from my own wickedness and frailty, but I hope for all things from Your goodness and bounty.

Remove from me all that can displease You or resist Your holy will; let your pure love imprint Your image so deeply upon my heart, that I shall never be able to forget You or to be separated from You.

May I obtain from all Your loving kindness the grace of having my name written in Your Heart, for in You I desire to place all my happiness and glory,
living and dying in bondage to You.
Amen.

The Language of Love
"O Trinity, eternal Trinity! Fire, abyss of love ...
Was it necessary that you should give
Even the Holy Trinity as food for souls? ...
You gave us not only your Word
Through the Redemption and in the Eucharist,
But you also gave yourself
In the fullness of love for your creature!"

Saint Louis de Montfort

Happy Feast Day!

His Life

Saint Louis de Montfort's Prayer to Jesus

True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin

"surrendering oneself in the manner of a slave to Mary, and to Jesus through Mary, and then performing all our actions with Mary, in Mary, through Mary and for Mary"....

Downloads

"Virgin most faithful, make me in everything so committed a disciple, imitator, and slave of Jesus, your Son, incarnate Wisdom, that I may become, through your intercession and example, fully mature with the fullness which Jesus possessed on earth, and with the fullness of his glory in heaven. Amen."

Thank you, St. Louis de Montfort for guiding my soul to Jesus through Mary!

"Happy is that soul in which Mary, the Tree of Life, is planted. Happier still is the soul in which she has been able to grow and blossom. Happier again is the soul in which she brings forth her fruit. But happiest of all is the soul which savours the sweetness of Mary's fruit and preserves it up till death and then beyond to all eternity. Amen."

"Let him who possesses it, hold fast to it."

TD 273. There are innumerable other thoughts with which the Holy Spirit will inspire you, which he will make yours if you are thoroughly recollected and mortified, and constantly faithful to the great and sublime devotion which I have been teaching you. But remember, the more you let Mary act in your Communion the more Jesus will be glorified. The more you humble yourself and listen to Jesus and Mary in peace and silence - with no desire to see, taste or feel - then the more freedom you will give to Mary to act in Jesus' name and the more Jesus will act in Mary. For the just man lives everywhere by faith, but especially in Holy Communion, which is an action of faith.

UPDATE: Eucharist - UCF

UCF Catholic Group Faces Hazing Charges For Protecting 'Body Of Christ'

"Student Government Senator Webster Cook filed the hazing charges with University of Central Florida administrators shortly after he admitted violating church rules by bringing the Eucharist home from Mass on June 29, then holding it hostage for one week in a plastic bag before returning it."
Pray. Pray for Webster Cook...Blessed Mother take over!

I understand the rationale of keeping and obeying rules in the NFL--but really what's the harm if Ben Roethlisberger wants to keep on his shoes the letters-P-F-J--"Play for Jesus"? Rules are rules and-I guess he'll be fined $5,000.00 if he keeps the letters on his shoes. How did anybody find out about the letters on his shoes? Are there shoe police in the NFL now too?
