The Vatican: The 'SMOKE'
American priest and frequent media commentator, Father Thomas Williams told CBS News, “We're just scratching the surface here. There's definitely more to come.”
“We only know of these two men connected with the Vatican in some way, but obviously, they're talking about a ring, and a ring means definitely more people involved.”
Let the SON shine in!
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world!

Vatican II - 50th Anniversary
Pope lifts excommunications of 4 bishops
Q&A: Why has the pope welcomed back traditionalists?
Liberal archbishop drove Catholic reform
He helped lead a largely successful effort to push the American church to welcome minorities, widen the role of women, increase participation by the laity and relax some rules, such as the automatic excommunication of divorced people.
Although Jadot strongly adhered to most of the church's teachings, including its opposition to abortion, his willingness to leave some questions to individual consciences rankled some church leaders.
Priest's ministry of reconciliation - "Rev. Bernard de Margerie was a young priest, newly ordained, when Pope John XXIII put out a call for Vatican II in 1959."
Rev. Bernard de Margerie -"I coined the phrase 'ecumenical formation' or education of our Catholic people."

New doc.. on same-sex attraction & the priesthood
“The candidate does not necessarily have to practice homosexuality (to be excluded.) He can even be without sin. But if he has this deeply seated tendency, he cannot be admitted to priestly ministry precisely because of the nature of the priesthood, in which a spiritual paternity is carried out.
Here we are not talking about whether he commits sins, but whether this
deeply rooted tendency remains.”

Indigenous Grandmothers (the "Council") at Vatican
The Council did not come to plant a "conquering" flag, but to lay a flag of peace and conciliation on the ground of the Vatican Square in front of the door to St. Peter's Basilica. On the flag was laid a sacred staff and sacred prayer feathers, including a written statement from the Council, along with special items to be gifted to the Pope Benedict XVI. The grandmothers then lit smudging incense (sage, cedar, copal), gathered in a circle, and planted the prayer.

Anglican Church News - Lambeth Conference '08
[...]For this to be a reality, we must be honest about how deep some of the hurts and difficulties currently go; and we must refresh and reanimate our sense of what our Communion ought to be contributing to the whole ecumenical spectrum of Christian life. We cannot ignore the fact that what is seen to be a new doctrine and policy about same-sex relations, one that is not the same as that of the vast majority at the last Lambeth Conference, is causing pain and perplexity. We cannot ignore the pressures created by new structures that are being improvised in reaction to this pain and perplexity, pressures that are very visible in the form of irregular patterns of ministry across historic boundaries.
WHAT?!Someone once said about our Communion, in relation to its internal strains and differences, 'What an astonishing number of possibilities God has given you for loving strangers and enemies!' Can we echo that? If so, by God's grace, we have it in us to be a Church that can manage to respond generously and flexibly to diverse cultural situations while holding fast to the knowledge that we also free from what can be the suffocating pressure of local demands and priorities because we are attentive and obedient to the liberating gift of God in Jesus and in the Scripture and tradition which bear witness to him.
